Charles Hoyack, Board President
Chuck Hoyack has been a resident of Douglas since 1985. In that time he has worked at Cochise College as a history instructor, basball coach, and administrator. Since July 1998 Chuck has been the Dean of the Douglas Campus. He has a strong belief in the value of education and the future of the children in our community, state, and nation. He is dedicated to giving his best to support the students, teachers, and staff of DUSD #27.Chuck is married to Alvina (Munoz) and they have two sons, Casey and Patrick. He was elected to the DUSD #27 board in November 2002.
Patricia Lopez, Member
Patricia Lopez is a new member to the DUSD Governing Board having taken office in January, 2007. Patricia was born and raised in Douglas and is very proud to call Douglas her home. She attended local schools, Cochise College and is employed as administrative assistant for the House of Hope Domestic Crisis Shelter. Patricia has three children who attend Douglas schools. (AJ, Jasmine, Josue) Her goal as a board member is to safeguard the educational system and provide the best educational environment for the teachers in this community and for the well being of all students in the school district. Patricia feels that there should be a voice for DUSD teachers, staff and students to the DUSD Governing Board and looks forward to being that voice. She is looking ahead with optimism to her term as a board member for our schools, students and teachers.
